Country OHV Fun Poker Run
The Castle
Country OHV Assocation will be sponsoring our First Fun Poker Run during
the Carbon County Fair Days. It will be held Saturday, Aug. 9th at 9:00
am. Staging Point will be at the Fairgrounds. Everyone pays $10.00 for
the 1st Hand and $5.00 for the 2nd Hand. Prizes will be awarded. All
money raised will go toward saving our public lands. For more info on
the poker run call Keith Haycock 472-3015.
The association
was started 3 years ago, by a "Desert Dog" enthusiast Tony Koss and
is now run by officers elected every year. The main purpose of the club
is to fight for our public lands and to keep them open. We have monthly
meetings and monthly rides to different places in Utah. We promote safety
and responsible riding. Four of our members are trained to teach OHV
Education for the Division of Parks and Recreation to adults and youth.
We work closely with the Forest Service with "The Good Riders Program"
in which we patrol the Manti LaSal trails. Two of our members also volunteer
their time on the Arapeen Trail Committeee. Check our Web
Site. Join Today!!! You Abuse…You Lose.
