Radio Control Air Show
The Desert Wings Radio Control Flying Club will be hosting a one day Fun Fly and Radio Control Air Show, Saturday, August 14, 2004. The event will be held at the Carbon County R/C Airfield located at the fairgrounds in conjunction with the Carbon County Fair. A wide variety of aircraft will be flown by local club pilots and pilots from throughout Utah and other areas. There will be many different type of aircrafts, including helicopters, scale and large scale presenting aerobatic flying demonstrations. This year we will host the Utah Show team “Spirit of Utah” and the Utah Aerobatic Team. Their show will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The public can also observe the planes on display up close and see how they are constructed and controlled. There will be refreshments, sandwiches, ice cream, and pop available. Flying will begin at 8:30 a.m. and continue throughout the day depending on weather conditions.
