One of
the main reasons for 4-H animal projects is to teach young people basic
principals of animal husbandry and how to train and show their animals.
The more important purpose is to provide an opportunity for personal
growth and development of the young person. Animals can be brought into
the indoor arena on Friday 13th from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Large
animals that will be sold (hogs, sheep, cattle). They need to be tagged and
entry forms sent in 30 days before the show. Forms will be available at
extension office. A limit of two entries per species will be awarded
premiums to an exhibitor. Classes include sheep, hogs, beef, goats,
miniature horses, rabbits, poultry, and pigeons. For questions call USU
Extension Agent at 636-3235.
