Carbon County Recreation Events for Fair

            Carbon County Recreation’s participation has become an welcome addition to the Carbon County Fair held annually in August at the Fairgrounds.

            One of Saturday’s activities is sand volleyball, which will begin at 8 a.m. at the new sand courts just to the south and west of the ball fields.  The deadline for registration for the activity is August 10, at 5 p.m.  The registration fee is $20 per team.  Each team is guaranteed three matches in the tournament.  There will be prizes for first and second place.  This is an open tournament so you can enter a mixed team, all women, or all men. 

            CCR will also have its climbing wall available both Friday and Saturday.  This activity is free to the public.  There will also be a climbing competition that will begin August 14, at 2:00 in the afternoon.  This activity will cost five dollars per participant and there will be prizes for winners in each division.

            Also, on both days, we will have Pedal Car Racing on a track at the fairgrounds.  Come out and try your luck at driving one of these cars.  Its a lot of fun.
