Welcome…
Carbon County RSVP & Volunteer Center partners individuals interested in volunteering with community agencies in need of their time, talent, and life experience. We recruit and place volunteers of all ages. Volunteers can choose from one of the many volunteer opportunities that we already have, or we can customize a placement to best fit their needs. Whether individuals are looking to volunteer in large groups, one-on-one, or out of their own home, Carbon County RSVP & Volunteer Center aids volunteers in finding the opportunities that best fit them.
Volunteers spend their time aiding teachers and tutoring children in our elementary schools, they greet and share our history with tourists in our museums, they visit the sick and help nurses and staff at our hospital, they check up on our homebound seniors, provide hospice care, collect clothes for the needy, educate the community on disaster preparedness, help feed the hungry, and sit on various boards and community councils – to name just a few.
Carbon County RSVP & Volunteer Center's focus is on recruiting and placing volunteers in community agencies and organizations which meet pressing community needs.
We currently have 227 RSVP volunteers that put in over 32,000 hours of volunteer time annually.
Carbon County RSVP & Volunteer Center also organizes several large scale community volunteer events, tracks volunteer numbers and hours, studies and reports on the impact of local volunteer activities to the Federal government, raises funds for program development, sits on several local steering committees/community councils, and offers advice and resources to new program start-ups.
