I am proud of my Carbon County roots and am glad that it has been and is my home. Since my hiring by the Mani La-Sal National Forest office as a wildland firefighter in 2002, emergency response has become the core of my career. In addition to my time with the Forest Service I have been with State of Utah Division of Forestry and State Lands where I as the Carbon/Emery District Fire Warden. In 2008 I began working part-time with the Carbon County Ambulance service, and continued there until January of 2016. And as recently as January 2016 I served on the Price City Fire Department where I received Firefighter l and ll certifications, Hazmat Operations training and Fire Service Instructor certification. The experience I gained working with this agencies, along with experience large scale emergencies (including Hurricane Katrina and the Arizona Wallow Fire, that consumed over 600,000 acres), has given a base of experience and knowledge that I am excited to bring to my service to the residents of Carbon County.
