Need some Gear to get and explore the Corridor?
We have you covered! Our County Recreation department maintains a wide array of outdoor gear for rent.
For availability, pricing and additional information on all equipment rentals call the Recreation Department at (435) 636-3702 Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (closed all major holidays).
Winter Equipment Rentals
Ice Skates
For those looking to get out on the ice either at the CERCUT's Ice Pond or elsewhere, the County has a wide range of skates in adult and children sizes for you. Skates are available to rent at the Event Center.
The rental rates are $5 per day or $10 for the weekend. Cleaning and damages will be charged if applicable. To book, visit the office, to make reservations call 435-636-3702.
Cross Country Skis
Cross Country Skis are available for rent starting through the Carbon County Recreation department at $10 a day. Please call us ahead of time so we can plan on having one of our knowledgeable staff members can help you find your proper fit. For questions or reservations call 435-636-3702.
Snowshoes
Snowshoe rental starts at $8 per day. Snowshoes are ideal for social activities and winter exercises. Is there a better way to explore the Carbon Corridor during winter time?
Miscellaneous winter gear
Carbon Recreation also has snow shovels, avalanche probes, and mountaineering ice axes for your next winter adventure. Weekend snow packages start at $35. Call us today to find out what items are included in this unique package.
Summer Equipment Rentals
Oar Boats
We offer 14-foot and 15.5-foot oar boats, each designed to comfortably seat up to 5 people—ideal for your next river adventure.
Rental includes: Raft, frame, NRS straps, up to 8 PFD's (life jackets), 3 oars, 1 large barrel pump, 1 small barrel pump, 2 flip lines, 1 rescue throw bag/bowline, 1 dry bag, aluminum dry box with mounts, repair kits, and extra straps.
Rental rates start at $100.00 per day. Please note that weekend rentals are subject to a flat weekend rate.

Paddle Boats
Choose from two paddle boat sizes—14-foot and 15.5-foot models—each with seating for up to 8 people.
Rental includes: Raft, up to 8 PFD's (life jackets) up to 8 single-sided paddles, 1 large barrel pump, 1 small pump, 2 flip lines, 1 rescue throw line/bowline, 1 repair kit.
Rental rates start at $90.00 per day. Please note that weekend rentals are subject to a flat weekend rate.

Inflatable Kayaks
We offer Single (1-person) and Double (2-person) inflatable kayaks (IKs)—perfect for your next river, lake, or fishing adventure.
Single IK rental begins at $30 per day. Rental includes: IK, 1 PFD (life jacket), 1 double-sided paddle, 1 small pump, 1 rescue line, 1 repair kit.
Double IK rental begins at $35 per day. Rental includes: IK, 2 PFD's (life jackets), 2 double-sided paddles, 1 small pump, 1 rescue line, 1 repair kit.
Please note that weekend rentals are subject to a flat weekend rate.

Paddle Boards
We offer two paddle board sizes to suit your adventure: 10.6 feet and 11 feet.
Rental includes: Paddle board, paddle board bag, small orange repair kit, PFD (optional)
Rental prices begin at $25 per day. Please note that weekend rentals are subject to a flat weekend rate of $50 per board.
