Welcome to the COUNTY ROADS DEPARTMENT

The Carbon County Road Department is responsible for the care and proper maintenance of county roadways. With 240 miles of paved roads, and 440 miles of gravel roads, the department works diligently to grade road surfaces, repair road damage, clear roadside vegetation, maintain vital roadside drainages, and resurface roadways. During the winter months, the department clears snow from roadways, assists in flood mitigation efforts, and crushes gravel. Each year the department partners with many cities within Carbon County to maintain and upgrade locally managed roadways.
