Welcome to the Office of Tourism

The Carbon County Office of Tourism is responsible for developing and implementing key marketing strategies that highlight tourism as a key economic driver leveraging Carbon County’s historic and authentic past. 

The Office of Tourism is also tasked with accomplishing the goals set in the County Destination Development Plan. This plan is the roadmap created to make this area a destination travelers will want to explore.

By creating opportunities for travelers to discover our amazing assets, tourism becomes a healthy and integral part of a sustainable economy for the county bringing revenue into our communities without compromising quality of life for its residents.

Tax Advisory Board

The primary and statutory purpose of the Carbon County Tourism Tax Advisory Board is to advise the Carbon County Commission on the best use of revenues collected from Transient Room Tax (TRT) and Tourism, Recreation, Cultural, and Convention (TRCC) taxes by providing the legislative body with a priority listing for proposed expenditures based on projected available tax revenues.

Visitor Center

Our visitor’s center is located inside the USUE Prehistoric Museum at 155 E. Main St. Price, UT 84501.

Open 7 days a week 9:00am to 4:00pm

The Visitor Center is the best place to go to see attractions up close and to provide you with brochures and pamphlets needed to assist you in your trip planning.
